Frymburk is a small town in southern Bohemia in Český Krumlov, situated on the peninsula on the northern (left) bank of the Lipno water reservoir.

Frymburk is an important tourist center, in the summer it is used by people interested in hiking, cycling, water sports, fishing, etc. in winter especially skiers (near the ski slope Na Martě with ski lift, between Frymburk and Lipno nad Vltavou cross-country tracks of Kramolín). Surroundings are interwoven with tourist signs and bicycle routes. The most important cycle route is the Šumava cycling trail, leading from Vyšší Brod through Lipno nad Vltavou to the left bank of Lipno to Nová Pece. The cycling route was newly built from PHARE funds in 1999.
